Bloom quilt

Here are more photos of the Bloom quilt I've been working on.  It appears finished, but I'd still like to sew a few more flowers to the left side and I'd like to quilt around more of the flowers on the right side.  But it works as it is and is soft, warm, and a great weight (thanks to the organic cotton batting), and the color is cheery and coordinates well with my fuchsia organic cotton sheets (from Wildflower in Austin).

I included a photo detail of the edge, which I left raw.  I used pinking shears to cut along the edge of the hemmed border to coordinate with the raw appliqued flowers.  When I put the quilt in the washer and dryer, it frayed the edges to give it the soft, three-dimensional look.

Can't wait to make the next one. . . .
